For different versions of the Eatlytics series products targeting different devices and operating systems, there will be the following permission acquisition, information collection, and use.
Device information permission (READ_PHONE_STATE), obtain device identification code (including SN, IMEI, IDFA, Android ID, MAC, OAID, Advertising ID, Serial Number, IMSI, UAID, ICCID, etc.) information. Differentiate between different login terminals by device identification code to ensure that the same account can be online on different terminals simultaneously. If you refuse to provide this permission, only one terminal can be used, which does not affect the use of other functions.
Device storage read and write permission (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE). When using functions such as editing user avatars, saving food images, importing nutrition data, file reading permission is required. When using functions such as exporting and backing up nutrition analysis reports, exporting dietary records, file writing permission is required. If you refuse to provide this permission, corresponding functions cannot be used, but it does not affect the use of other functions.
Network access permission (INTERNET). The Eatlytics series products are based on the internet, and almost all functions require internet access. If you refuse to provide this permission, the product will be unusable. Network status permission (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE). Network status information will help us analyze user usage scenarios for better service in the future. If you refuse to provide this permission, it does not affect the use of functions.
Camera permission (CAMERA). Functions such as taking food photos for AI recognition and scanning food barcodes to obtain nutrition information require camera permission. If you refuse to provide this permission, you will need to manually enter information, but it does not affect the use of other functions.
Bluetooth permission (BLUETOOTH, BLUETOOTH_ADMIN). Connecting smart scales, blood glucose meters and other health devices, synchronizing health data requires Bluetooth permission. If you refuse to provide this permission, you will not be able to use Bluetooth synchronization, but it does not affect the use of other functions.
NFC permission (NFC). Reading smart health device information requires NFC permission. If you refuse to provide this permission, you will not be able to use device reading of health data and will need to manually enter information, but it does not affect the use of other functions.
Location permission (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION, ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION). Functions such as recommending nearby healthy restaurants and recording exercise tracks require location permission. If you refuse to provide this permission, you will not be able to use location-related functions, but it does not affect the use of other functions.
Biometric recognition permission (USE_BIOMETRIC, USE_FINGERPRINT). Secure login with fingerprint/face recognition requires biometric recognition permission. If you refuse to provide this permission, you will not be able to use biometric login and will need to use password login, but it does not affect the use of other functions.
Device sensor permission (BODY_SENSORS, ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION). Functions such as step counting, calorie consumption calculation, and motion health tracking require device sensor permission. If you refuse to provide this permission, you will not be able to use motion tracking functions, but it does not affect the use of other functions.
Recording permission (RECORD_AUDIO). Voice dietary logging requires recording permission. If you refuse to provide this permission, you will not be able to use voice input and will need to use text input, but it does not affect the use of other functions.
Read application list permission (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES). Health app integration and fitness app data synchronization require read application list permission. If you refuse to provide this permission, you will not be able to use third-party app integration, but it does not affect the use of other functions.
Notification permission (POST_NOTIFICATIONS). Meal reminders, nutrition goal alerts, and health progress notifications require notification permission. If you refuse to provide this permission, you will not be able to receive push notifications, but it does not affect the use of other functions.
Other permissions include: vibration (VIBRATE), wake lock (WAKE_LOCK), network status (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE), WiFi status (ACCESS_WIFI_STATE), system settings modification (WRITE_SETTINGS), installation package information (REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES), etc. These permissions are used to optimize user experience and ensure application stability. If you refuse to provide these permissions, corresponding functions cannot be used, but it does not affect the use of other functions.
